Through the GOSPO Chorus program I have been granted with amazing opportunities and experiences including performing in the Adelaide Fringe, singing in a recording studio, and having many opportunities to perform individually and with a group. Through these experiences I have created so many memories and formed bonds with people that I can now call my friends and family.

There is nothing more rewarding than working with a community of friends to create something complex and challenging - yet fun and beautiful. Charmaine is a music wiz and will help you get involved, no matter your skill level. See you there!

I’ve been part of my GOSPO music family for 4 years now. It’s great to get together each week and sing with like minded people who support each other and welcome new comers alike. Singing together as a choir family, gives me such confidence in my “average” singing, by being a small part of the bigger picture - which sounds so professional due to Charmaine’s guiding hand.

I have been a part of GOSPO chorus for almost a year now and it has been such an insightful experience into the world of music and performance. Led by Joanna Arul Tropeano, I could think of no one better who truly encapsulates the essence of this choir. What the GOSPO team has built is truly incredible!

Ever since I walked into my very first Chorus rehearsal 4 years ago, I have felt supported and welcomed into the community. It gives me a great sense of pride to be involved in something larger than myself, not only bringing joy to the community, but also showcasing the healing power of music. Something that is special about GOSPO, is the strong sense of family and community that is instilled within the program. As a member of GOSPO Chorus, you are not just being taught how to sing; you are learning about yourself and others, how to be accountable for your own actions, about humility, how to be both a leader and a team player, and learning both how and why we sing what we sing and do what we do.

I have been doing GOSPO Chorus for nearly two years. My favourite thing so far has been singing two solos and learning how to use a microphone on stage. One of the most valuable things I have learnt is vocal technique and being confident while performing. My favourite performance was our recent show "A Chorus Cabaret".
